girls that gossip,people that stare what should i do in this situation?

1st Question:I heard from my friend yesterday that some girls were talking trash about me and called me a slut why would they say this when they don't even know me plus how can i stop them?

2nd Question:why do people stare at me often when i am out and i am wearing something nice it bothers me what should i do?

1st questions-do the same o them.but dont let it get to you; they are just jelous n clearly dont have a life since they dont have anything else to talk about.:)
2nd question-try to make sure you dont dress slutty..because thats a reason to stare..
