the jokes that i set up myself and the guy comes in with a funny comment about it.. for example, if i were to say, "i love meat" and they say, " oh you do? lets go find out!" not necessarily that, but just stuff that i set up myself... lol

As another person mentioned, there is no perfect formula. My brother in law is a stand up comedian and I've learned that it is 40% presence - meaning the way you act and present yourself - 50% what you say and the last 10% is if it was given to the right crowd - meaning you have to know what you're saying and who you're saying it too
