God theory has been disproven long ago...why are people still arguing?

God has NOT been "disproven"... long ago nor ever.

He allows evil because He allows free will. To eliminate evil at this time would hinder free will; thus actually cause Him NOT to be a good God. He does not and should not solve all of our problems for us. But Him and His angels DO help and guide those who call upon His name. We call Him God because He is the creator and Teacher; the Almighty.

I sincerely urge you to turn to Him. I'll pray for you.

Epicurius' thoughts on the subject, or in this case accurately called a theory, has not "disproven" (not a word) God. This implies that humans are capable of understanding everything in the universe. It is comprised of actions and reactions. A good event for one person is a bad event for another. Preventing evil also gets rid of positive events. Also, evil is not only a manner of perspective, but it would also completely eliminate free will. So... Which would you rather have?

It all depends on which Theistic version of "God" you're talking about. If you're discussing the description of the Christian version of "God" in the Bible, then you're correct. The Christian version of "God" is logically disprovable, but not all Theists are Christian Theists.

The fact that the argument still exists PROVES that neither side of any God-related argument can be proven or disproved. In response to the first line of that Epicurus quote, God says in his own Bible that he is not out to "prevent" evil. The Bible states that God gave us free will, and this free will is swayed by Satan into "evil" or "sin". God is certainly able to do absolutely anything He wants, but that is not His purpose, nor is it an obligation, because in spite of all the atrocities that have plagued mankind since the beginning of humanity, it is his intention for this balance of good and evil to exist. The fact that God lets evil happen does not make Him evil; evil, defined, is the lack of God.
