are there so many boats not fishing? We just came back from Jaco Costa Rica. We found a small cluster of sportfishing boats near costaricadreams.com they are great boats with big savings and excellent service. we went out on the 34 ft diamante a 10 ft beam , lots of cover. we hooked up 7 rooster fish. the full day cost us $ 695.00 We asked some of the bigger companies. The price were much higher. I understand overhead , Is there a rule of thumb for price of the sizes of boats. Or is all based on top shelf advertising ? anyone know. I love fishing with people who tell you how it is. We have been put on a list to stay informed as to when the fish are hitting. are there fishing reports , that are not a booking agency ? I want a straight answers. Also I saw and heard on the marine radio , these big boats breaking down , getting skunked. When you pay thousands of dollars , do you get your money back. They said they would rather stay in if the fishing is not great. they also said they could suggest good boats from the beach & marina. Do you think that these bigger fleets will survive ? it certtainly looked like a slow year, I am going back again this year since I was able to shop a good deal.
