Last Friday night I met a girl in person that I had been talking through a Christian dating site for a month. We had also been texting everyday for the last two weeks even though we both go to school and work a lot. I am the first person she has ever met in person from online so she met me at the date location.
We had a great conversation over a small meal in which two hours flew by and we were both surprised since it felt like it had only been 20 minutes. I then offered to go to the movies and she happily agreed even though it was 10pm so we left her car there and went in my car to the other side of the plaza then throughout the entire movie we talked for those 2+ hours. I should have held her hand but convinced myself not too even though we were really close to each other and I could feel that she was in a way anticipating me to make the move. Then after the movie while we were walking to my car she told me she was cold a few times and that she had a great time and that it went better than she expected it to go. I then drove her back to her car and we talked in my parked car in front of hers for an hour until 1am and she was telling me that I'm a really good guy and that it went better than she expected and I kind of messed up and told her she was a great girl as she was complimenting me since for some reason I got nervous. I kind of felt like I interrupted her compliment and then I told her we should go out next Friday again and she agreed with a smile and she said that next time it was on her. I told her I couldn't let that be that it was on me and she insisted with a smile that it was on her that not to worry and when she left my car (since it was past 1am and we both have to be at work at 8am) to switch to her car I should have given her a hug but I stopped myself. I feel like it went great but that I should have at least given her a hug to avoid a friend zone type of situation. Does it sound like the date went well? Is it a good thing she insisted that next Friday she wants to invite me???? Did I in a way ruin it by not giving her a hug or holding her hand in the movies even though she seemed open to it?
I'm 21 and she is 19. She also texted me after the date that she had a great time and that it went better than she expected with a smiley face. She also always texts me on her breaks at work and in between classes. What throws me off as that she has been texting me that I'm such a good guy overall with smiley faces and telling me I'm different from the guys she has met which has me worried thinking I can possibly end in the friend zone. Does she sound interested in a relationship? I texted her asking if being a good guy is a bad thing and she replied that not in her eyes with a smiley face, that it is a very good trait and that she talked to her friend about our date and that even her friend liked me even though she doesn't know me. She even said during the date that that dating site we met through will now be history as in she met me the right person and no longer needs it. I logged on today and saw that she logged on yesterday which throws me off. Might she be checking to see if I log on even though she knows my membership ended the day we met last Friday or maybe she is talking to others even though she told me she stopped reading new messages ever since we started messaging???? What could be a reason for that??
