How would you answer this question?

in the early part of the novel how does harper lee prepare the reader, and the children for the serious events to come?

I dont need a full answer just how would you set out the essay answer? I know that such events are when:
-Mr.Radley shoots a 'n.egro'
-Boo Radley is essentially a child innocently accussed
-Boo Radley social needs are not understood
-Realism children grow up
-Jems shorts -> misreading, missunderstanding

what else would you include?

Please help me with answering this question. Im not asking you to do it for me just help me start is off.
