I made the mistake of ordering a DVD series that was actually in HD DVD. My player at home-which is only 3 weeks old btw- is a regular non-HD non-bluray player. very standard. So it doesn't play the series, which I'm extremely bummed out about! I got a very good deal on the series and really want to watch it. What can I do??? Anything? I've read that HD DVD players aren't even being sold anymore at stores! I don't necessarily want to buy a whole new dvd player, since i just got this regular one, and especially not because of ONE series....but I'm open to think about it..or any other possibilities...what else can i do to watch this? any converter or software or..anything? are HD DVD players the only things i can watch them on? if I have to try to find one to buy...where should I look? Craigslist doesn't show any in my area (strange since i live in one of the larger US cities), and there are a few on ebay but a little pricey. Any ideas? the video series is formated in 1080p, i'm not sure what that means in terms of which players i should look at or if it makes a difference if i get one with a different number etc..i'm not very technologically advanced at all (or else i wouldn't be in this mess)
what can i do, any ideas, advice, techie substitutes?
i mean other than reselling this item
