He rejected me and is acting interested? advice please!?

So About in September or October around that time, there was this guy I liked a lot he worked at Ross, and i was convinced he liked me he would look at me a lot and would stare at me, we had a really good conversation and he was making me laugh he was a really funny cool person, and I asked him out and he rejected me? When I was leaving he said " You know why right?" and I just shock my head like a yes, but if I could go back in time I would have asked because I have no idea, So I left and I never came back ever my mind was set to that, but I went to Ross Seven To Eight Months Later and Not caring anymore, I have been pushed to the side by guys or led on aloottt so in this point in my life I believe there is nothing, I have been threw 19 guys since June my last relationship, no sex in any of them, But Anyway I went back and I thought he was not working and that I am good from seeing him, so I picked out all the stuff I wanted and waited for a while to pay I saw him, and I felt nauseated for some reason, he was looking at me a lot and was the cart collector/Security guard so I didn't notice him, he would walk over other places that were not were he was assigned and he was with someone else and he was looking at me I can see in the corner of my eye, So when I finally go to pay my card it was declined and this woman sent him up to the cashier I was really embarrassed and he looked at me for a second then the computer and back at me and he was ignoring the woman and said " I remember you.." and I said "Yeah I remember you to haha" and was trying to pay again so I was looking down and he said " I haven't seen you in forever, really forever" and I felt him looking at me and he had like sad eyes and felt like he was looking threw me really, and I said " I have been really busy, and moved a little bit further from here so..." and we kept trying and removed one thing and I got embarrassed and wanted to leave and he kept saying " You sure you wanna leave I can remove one by one thing for you" and he said it at least 7 times but I just wanted to leave, and he said " Oh Okay, well let me take this for you" and I left looked once and went to my car and when I was leaving, I saw him threw the window staring at me when I was leaving and didn't stop looking till I left away from the store, I have no idea on what to do advice please
