Magellan or Motorola because they both correct you if you make a wrong turn and you can store 10 stops at once
buy a memory card for extra maps and memory tho
I need one that has a big screen, very durable.I don't go over the road but more city driving in industrial areas. It must be easy to input addresses of about 4 to 6 stops a day.
I often drive different trucks,so it has to be easily portable.I don't need all the fancy extras...just be durable for day in day out use.I have $200 to $275 for the right one.
Get one that talks to you (Garmin is a good example) . Some have QWERTY or standard screen keyboards for data entry, but others are only standard layout (which I don't like). Bigger screens allow you to read the names of the small side streets. Make sure it has a recent map update. Maps older than 3 years can be irritating to use if they don't show that latest roads, and map updates are expensive. Traffic advisories that show on-screen are really really useful if they work - check this detail carefully.
I think all new GPS units will correct you if you make a wrong turn. Check if it backs you up, or does it figure out a new path to your destination. The latter is better.
