Help in converting .mkv files to DVD?

I want a straight burner, one in which it burns .mkv videos straight to DVD. I used FreeMKV2DVD, but as it was converting the subtitles, the program shut down immediately, as if something is wrong with it. Any other alternatives? I want freeware.

Well, you're not going to get much for free.....
I'd suggest, though it's time consuming, converting the .mkv to a dvd burner compatible file format.

I think I also tried that program, and found it didn't work that well.
