Never the twain shall meet! I was coming to the end of hoovering with a very powerful upright, bagless hoover and accidentally ran over my mobile phone charger wire which had fallen off my bed.
What should I do with the hoover? It was still running but making a terrible racket? I switched it off immediately, it has not tripped anything in the fuse box - bedside clock still working. Needless to say I went into shock, though I was not hurt.
Rang my mother who gave me earache for being so stupid, but accidents do happen. Then she told me she had just had to throw her hoover into the street through the front door because hers caught fire!
