HELP!!! Looking for a nice and inexpensive hotels in Hollywood, CA?

This might be a tough question but I hope you all can help. I live in Connecticut and will be getting married this April 2009. For our honeymoon we plan to visit Los Angeles, CA for the very first time. We already got plane tickets but we didn't book a hotel. I've looked already and there's just too much options! I spend 5 hours looking!

We would like to stay in the center of Hollywood where we will be able to see the Walk of Fame and go to Universal Studios and near all the popular areas. Also we would like to see the Hollywood sign. What hotel would you all recommend and which one should I stay away from? I'm looking for something that's not extremely expensive. Preferably under $150 a night that still very good.

how are ppl going to know off the top of their heads prices of hotels
theres too many options then list ones that you would consider then ask another question saying which ones of these are the best
