Help my remote start does not work on my GMC 2500 4X4.?

My remote start on my 88 GMC 2500 4x4 just mysteriously stopped working. However my lock/unlock buttons work just fine. The remote is sending the signal but the vehicle is not responding to it. Can someone give me some help on what to check or look for. (5 stars & 10 points to the person that solves the problem).
 
remote start systems can be very confusing when it comes to wiring...there are about 40 wires. if there is no response at all when you attempt to remote start it...it is definately a problem with the wiring. if you are not inclined ellectrically..i would highly recommend taking it to a pro.
 
check the wires make sure they r all hooked tightly n if it not responding it could have come loose or a fuse
