Help ! Psp UMD not being recognized !?

Yesterday my PSP was working perfectly and I was able to play the UMD but later it could not be recognized. I didn't drop it in fact I hardly played it. I checked the rotator and the laser which are working perfectly and I swabbed the laser so it's clean. whats wrong with it ? the laser is working fine....can you help thanks. i'm using PSP phat.

The same thing happened to me. I did all the things you said with the laser etc. After a week it started working again. However sometimes when i'm playing a game it will freeze and I will have to open the back and close it again. The best tip I can give you is to be patient and hope. If that doesn't work you can always send it in or take it to gamestop to get it fixed.
