Help using Nero Dvd burner...?

I downloaded Nero Burning ROM but it won't let me copy the files to the complication because my files are in .avi format. If I download Nero Vision, will I be able to create a usable dvd for my dvd player? And does it have a shrink option? My movies are about 140 minutes and the disks only allow 120. But I couldn't find any disks that held more than 120 min.

Yes, you would need Nero Vision to burn your avi files in dvd format, but I doubt you'd be able to download that application alone without the complete package. Nero Burning Rom will burn data and image (ISO) files.
