OK now, this isn't the best Christmas gift at all But my ps3 stopped reading blue ray discs/drives all together and i need help. It's a CECH-2001A. I'm not sure if certain drives are compatible or if i need the EXACT same kind of blue ray drive. My ps3 is out of warranty. ill send it in to service if all else fails. I have already opened everything up and cleaned out the blue ray lens and everything it doesn't work. I have called Sony and they recommended i send it in(obviously). It would be nice if i could buy a blue ray drive that does ps2 games as well
but i don't think it will be possible. sadly. Does any one have any knowledge of compatible blue ray drives i could buy? or recommendations?
Also, Would this work? i know i would have to take out the blue ray deck already located in my ps3 and replace it with this one which makes it harder
