i'm writing a story. its about a mum who's been acting weird, she's coming home late and she's been acting too happy.
The daughter comes home from school one day and see's the mum with a guy at a cafe, and they exchange kisses. The daughter can see that the mum is having an affair.
The daughter doesn't know whether to tell the mum, or tell the dad, or keep it to herself.
I don't know how to end it.
Should the daughter tell the dad? Then the dad goes I'm having an affair as well.

???

Well wouldn't it just spoil the fun of you using your noggin' and your very own creativity if we told you how to end your story?

The ending is the defining part of the book. It is definitely one thing that should be planned at the beginning of a story. You need to give it a twist, make it end in a way that we never thought could even be possible. Unpredictability is the key, what wouldn't I expect to happen? Would it satisfy readers, or would it make them want some blanks filled in? Would there be a possibility for a sequel? These are all important questions, and once you answer them all, you will have their own perfect ending that fits your style as a writer. (ex: Lois Duncan always has predictable piece of s*it endings, Robert Cormier never has the good guy win, Eoin Colifer puts a huge twist right before the end, etc.)

have the daughter find out that the mom is having an afair with her REAL father whom the mom once dated, but was forced to leave by her mean grandmother. The daughter's REAL dad can be her so called dads brother too. The daughter can confront her mom, who admits to the affair but then later kills her daughter for knowing the secret.
