I have always wanted to own a boat so I could use it for fishing, taking short trips and other things like tubing, water skiing, e.t.c...
Eventually I would like to sail to other countries. Where do I begin? I have already bought the book I need to read to acquire a boating license, but it doesnt have any information about boat classifications, skills required, e.t.c.. It simply explains all the different signs and symbols.
Can somebody please recommend where an absolute beginner like myself should begin?
Also is it necessary to have knowlege about navigation, stars, e.t.c???
What should I be looking at for a 1st boat?
