Hey can anyone help get my gadgets working again?

I have Windows 7 and the gadgets are no longer displaying properly. I thought it was just the ones I had so I deleted them and installed a new one but when I drag that one onto the desktop it's invisible, and the clock is just a black circle with 2 red lines, the colours of the others are distorted as well. Can someone please tell me how this happened so I could fix it. Thanks ^_^
 
Control panel-Programs and Features-Turn Windows Features On. Check Windows Gadget

you can download the missing gadgets once again and voila,,,
1 go to control panel
2 open,, appearance and personalization
3 now open personalization,,,and in the next window will come up choices to change your wallpapers (dont use that,,,look at the right corner inside the square where it says,,,GET MORE THEMES ON LINE,,,,click there(get more themes on line) and automatically ,,it will open microsfts wallpapers and gadgets choices,,,you will have so many to choose from,,even the old same ones you have before,,,,,,,,,okay sweetie ???? enjoy
