Hi! How can I set the maximum bit rate (320?) for a song downloaded from iTunes

or Ares? I'd like all my songs to have the highest bitrate when downloaded, so I can get maximum power sound / volume. Thanks a lot!
 
You can't set the bitrate higher, only lower. The songs must be downloaded with a higher bitrate. Other than that, bitrate doesn't effect the volume of sound, but rather the quality: the higher the bitrate, the better the quality.
 
The higher the bitrate the higher the quality but only in the original conversion from wav format..
The bitrate CAN be increased from what you have but it will not improve the quality.
The audio information discarded in the original conversion to mp3 is gone and cannot be replaced.
The bitrate has no effect on volume / power, only quality.
The bitrate can only be changed after downloading.
It will be a totally futile exercise to increase the bitrate of your files.
You'll just have bigger files with no increase in quality or volume.
