Me and my wife just brought our 9 year old min pin to the vet over the past few days. We first noticed that he had a tiny speck of blood in his urine which prompted us to bring him in. He has been healthy his whole life pretty much. After taking an X-ray we noticed bladder stones, the vet sent us home with some food to dissolve the stones and some medication. Upon getting home he started vomiting. He probably threw up 3-4 times after taking the medication. We brought him to the ER and they treated him with fluids, pain meds, and antibiotic and sent us home to follow up with our vet the next day. We did a blood panel and the results came back that he has pancreatitis, they kept him on fluids for a day and sent him home. This morning he was kind of like his old self and the vet said to feed him, which I thought was a bit weird and that he probably should have been on more fluids for a day or two more. Since feeding him he has been very tired and has runny pooh. We brought him back to the vet where he is now over night stay on fluids. The blood panel came back that his AKLP was over 2000, AST 181, and ALT 612, and AMYL 1097. Can anyone help to shed some light on what could be going on? They said his liver was a bit swollen as well. He wanted to eat and play this morning but once we fed him he gradually slowed down. Help Please
I have googled the answers but I was hoping to hear from someone with some insight. Thank you
