We need to have a statement for each year from 1940-1949. It can be about anything-sports, trends, food, and so on. I can't think of any good topic. Please help.

The revolution of women in the workforce.
The 1940's allowed many opportunities and gave women the chance to work and develop themselves in the world of work.

You should do Frank Sinatra! :)
Do a biography of him, bring in samples of his music, how he impacted today's world.... if you buy any Michael Buble album, there's at least one Sinatra song redone by him.
He's still alive today, through his music. Kind of epic.

I'm sure everyone will be doing things about WWII.

try these! :)

During 1940's Tootsie Rolls were sent to soldiers as an energy food source. Women stopped wearing pantyhose, the kind where there was a seam that went up the back of there leg. So women started shaving more and drawing a line down the back of the leg to make people think they were wearing pantyhose. There were food rations. Women started entering the workforce. There were major league baseball teams made up of women. Tons of propaganda!!! So many ideas.
