Is Hollywood putting out more and more movies that seem to have no intelligence? Are they dumbing down America? It seems to me that in order to find an intelligent movie I have to look for foreign films or old American movies.
Most people are starting to like "simple". I really hate movies like that, I love to think and explore movies as a true art. Which is why Darren Aronosky is one of my favourite directors.
As others have said America has dumbed down. Many people dont care about plot, story line, character development or anything of that nature. Its like paying for a quick laugh. Pretty disappointing. I also agree about foreign films, wasnt Pans Labryinth epic?
