Is it a positive thing or a negative thing?
Sean Penn is huge on the importance of gays getting married yet he is very anti American and his own personal life has been full of divorces, adulteries, and severe emotional problems.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie can't stress enough the important of marriage yet refuse to get married and are both the product of Divorce. Tim Robbins and Susan Surandon I would say are the best example of a good hollywood relationship yet they to refuse to get married. Just recently the two huge activists in MA were divorced from there Marriage which I think is fine personally, no reason to stay with someone you hate for a political ideal...forget that.

So is all this buzz from people who could care less about marriage good or bad? What are true good examples and why don't they get any buzz?
HEL T kind of summed up the Anti-American thing about Sean Penn, it's true I don't agree with praising terrorism but Sean Penn does have every right to and I respect that.

I understand anything involving equality, rights, and agenda usually can be taken as a attack but I promise this question isn't meant as an attack. Answering the question I'm asking would be great.
You know this probably would have worked much better in a chat room or a face to face debate. Yes I think Mickey Rourke gave a better performance and yes I think In Bruges was a better screen play. If you think that's because of hatred or intolerance that's fine you have a right to think so just like Sean Penn has a right to think people lake Saddam Husien are true patriotic leaders. Are they are representatives of Equality right's that actually care about the rights being denied certain citizens? How's that, better? Less Offensive everyone?

Negative

It is mainstreaming a deviant lifestyle choice and I'm not happy about it.

Sean Penn hurts any cause he speaks for. This is a guy who ran around in limos with Saddam Hussein and Hugo Chavez, while innocent civilians were being killed in prisons.

The examples you cited are people exercising their CHOICE to be married or not. Gays do not have that CHOICE.

I don't see what does the "gay rights agenda" has to do with people's personal life choices. People can be pro-equality and have fucked up personal lives. The two are not contradictory.

Why is Sean Penn anti-American? Is it because he doesn't agree with you?

What does Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon's relationship have to do with the the "gay rights agenda"?

Next time try to make sense.

And what is your agenda with this rambling question?

To say that Penn, Pitt, Jolie, Sarandon, and Robbins believe in gay marriage but don't seem to take their own marriages very seriously seems like you are saying that they are hypocrites. Okay, maybe they are. But what does that have to do with saying that Hollywood has an "agenda?"

If Hollywood is trying to convince more Americans that they should support gay marriage, then I'm glad. But many Americans will not necessarily take heed of Hollywood's "agenda" for the same reasons that you don't.
