Alright i know not being able to actually see/hear it in person is a big handicap but if you guys have any ideas id greatly appreciate it. I have a xbox 360 connected to a denon 1910 through a hdmi cable. I am using the dolby digital with the audyssey settings (mic that auto detects where the speakers are). I have the frequency to my cerwin vega subwoofer set at 60hz and my receiver too. The gain has been at "full blown" and not a thud. The green light in the back tells me its got a good connection. When i used the mic to auto set everything the sub made the same weird noise as the other speakers did so i know it can work. Any suggestions?
Alright i set both sub and receiver to 80hz and still nothing. Im using a song with a lot of bass in it to test and see if it works does that make a difference?

Go into your settings on your receiver and change setting for front speakers from large to small if not already set to small. If it is set to large it will send the bass to the front speakers.

First off you should set the cut off at 80HZ versus the 60HZ. If the game or movies does not have any low frequency then you are not going to hear any sound from the subwoofer. Hope this will help you out.
