okay so i have a 17' by 17' room and its basically my family room. i just installed sony bdv-e570 home theater in a box system. now the sound is great but i only have one problem. the flooring is carpet. now on on end of the room i have my tv in the middle with my 3 speakers and the subwoofer next to the tv. and then the surround speakers in the back. when i get close to the subwoofer u can rly tell the bass is there but as i go more back the bass pretty much fades out. what do i do? and the wall in my family room is wood panelling. please help? i wanna know what the best way to get bass in the entire room is

You can adjust the volume on the the subwoofer, either in the back of the subwoofer or through the system speaker set up menu. Keep in mind that most home theater in a box does not have that much power. The bass is the most demanding speaker for power from an amplifier. Hope this will help you out.
