You have a belt which should be replaced at the recommended interval. If the belt breaks, it does so while the car is running usually at the most inconvenient moment on the highway. I know Honda 4 cylinders are interference motors, not sure about the V6, but if it is yes you engine would die and you would bend some valves. Its much cheaper to replace the belt before it breaks.
