honda cr125 1996 loosin power wen up in the revs!!!!?

was out ridin my honda cr125 today & it just started to loose power wen up in the revs but noticed wen i got it back the baffleing in the exhaust was all at the end of my tail pipe,cud that be the problem(blocked silencer!?)it rides fine low down & starts fine!!!!
 
My immediate thought was its the air filter. I had the same problem with a bike not long ago, I replaced the filter and it solved the problem. You could try cleaning the filter instead or check for any air flow restriction.
 
Remove the cylinder and clean the power valves.
They get carboned up and stick.
The engine won't go into the power band, because the power valves are sticking.
The "baffleing" in the exhaust is from years of use, without re-packing the silencer.
If the paking has never been changed, imagine what the power valves look like.
