Honda CRF450x or KTM 450exc dual sport bike?

i am 15 and i am looking to get a bike for when i get my motorcycle license. i am 6 foot 1 and about 160lbs. i dont want a 250cc bike so dont prefer any 250cc bikes please. i am planning on riding this bike until i get my motorcycle license off road. i looked up the specs on the ktm and it is taller and lighter than the honda. right now i have a 1988 honda xr200r that i ride every weekend and its pretty much my beater that i bought for $400. i dont think it has enough power for me speed wise but has good torque.i previously owned a 2 stroke 1998 ktm 65sx and it is the fastest bike i have ever ridden and i fell in love with ktm from then. so CRF450x or KTM 450exc?
 
You will be extreamly happy with KTM. Yet parts are 1% higher than Honda. Power seems pretty identical.
 
It a personal perference. Get what feeling comforatable to you when you sit on it. The KTM is going to be a bit more expensive in labor and parts are going to be harder to get..not to mention dealerships are quite scarce comared to honda. Both are solid brands to so cant really go wrong with either choice, get what is comfortable to you. I personally would get Honda just because there are WAY more dealerships and getting parts wont be a problem...and im a jap tech.
