Honda crv 2001 or a 1996 BMW 328i?

I just turned 17 and hopein to get some type of wheels just to get place to place . My aunt offered me her 2001 Honda crv that is practically in great condition but then my dad today just told me his friend who is a mechanic offered him his old 1996 328i BMW that whole engine is rebuilt with a new tranny and new interior..any suggestions?
 
well depends what you like , see like me id choose the 328 because i like sports car and more power and so it depend what you like because honda crv is good on gas and its younger and more realiable
