I'm 17 and I turn 18 at the end of may. I'm in my senior year of high school and it's embarassing to get dropped off by my parents. I can drive the car occasionally when my mom doesn't need it but it's still inconveinent. I have a job. I had a job for 6 months, quit and got a new one and have worked for 4 months and I'm still employed.

I had 2500 dollars in my savings but my parents borrowed it to help pay the bills. I just want them to match me on a car (I want a toyota celica 2000+ and i can afford one I have found deals from 5000-6500)

I have about 1000 in my savings now, in addition to the 2500 they owe me...3500. And if they matched me i could afford a 7000 dollar car

I'm not a bad kid or anything either.I have a 4.2 GPa i don't get in trouble at school, take hard classes because I want to and but myself forward to apply for colleges.

I just want to find a way to afford a car so I won't get so frustrated when I see stupid arrogant girls get a new car just for finishing a school year and not failing any classes.

Can my parents get a loan that I am paying for but the bank thinks they are paying for it?
I'm buying used through a private owner btw. Any help/suggestions would be great

you'll probably crash your first car, just get one for 1000 or less and when you really know how to drive (you may think you do, but you don't) then you can get a real car...my first car was a 93 civic, 1000 bucks...trust me, if you get a nice car right off, you'll crash that shit. just get over it and buy a POS like everyone else.

if your parents had to borrow $2500 and haven't payed you back ..what makes you think they can match your savings?
Get what you can afford for now and when you get out of college you can buy that car that you think will impress everyone
