I'm 17 and going to sign up for the Army on Tuesday. I know that I'll eventually have to do 42 pushups, 53 situps, and a 2 mile run in 15:54 (APFT).
I can do the situps with no problem, but the most pushups I can do at once is 20-25. An I can only run one mile and that's in 9:00. I'm not overweight at all. Is it crazy to think that I'll be able to meet these standards without fat camp?
So if you didn't meet the standards according to the book, you wouldn't necessarily be sent to fat camp nowdays?
