Look at the numbers. It is OBVIOUS that the Bill Clinton tax rates would have raised revenue much more than the W Bush rates did. Is it just Fox News talking points regurgitated by those too dumb to care that their facts are not in synchrony with reality? Or is there something I missed besides the fact that Bill Clinton governed over the best American growth ever and W Bush the worst since the 1930's?
If spending did cause the debt, isn't that all the more reason to vote for a Democrat president committed to balancing the budget anyway (not Obama)? A Republican Congress with a Republican president added a new benefit to our most financially challenged liberal program: a Medicare prescription drug benefit. Bill Clinton's major domestic accomplishment was welfare reform.
