how can i activate facebook mobile with a mexican cellphone?

i know the whole thing of going to 'account settings'>mobile>register for facebook text messages,etc. but i have a Mexican cellphone, so the thing is that Mexico is not on the list, is there any way i can activate it even though its not available?
