I overstayed my visa when I was 13 years old, and I graduated high school this past summer. Now I'm 19 and I ws wondering what would happen if I went back to my country? I'm afraid I will get the 10 year bar, so I don't know if I should self-deport to apply for a visa again and try to get a job so they can sponsor me and that way I could go to college. I just found out that I could have done that before I turned 18 1/2 but I didn't know that back then otherwise I would've done it, matter of fact if I had known that I was overstaying my visa I would've waited to do it the legal way, but I have a social security so I thought maybe that's all I needed (when I was 13). My grandfather is an american born citizen and at one point my mom had a green card but it expired. I need to know if it's better for me to go back and apply from there? I know I could also get married but I want to know what other possibilities there are for me to become legal.
