How can i conect a old tv with a simple channel up down remote to a dvd/vcr combo

with cable running into it? The remote for the DVD/VCR has the numbers and everything and i want to use that for changing the channel. The t.v has only antena in and the dvd/vcr basicly has everything else. the cable has no box, just the cord coming from the wall with basic cable

I forget what you call it.I use to have one and they sell them at Radio Shack.It is some kind of converter.
