How can I convince my friend that masturbation is not wrong?

My friend is a fifteen-year-old Catholic, and he told me that he was giving up masturbation for Lent. And then we got into a big argument over whether masturbation is wrong. I've refuted his Biblical story about that guy who god struck down for spilling his seed upon the ground, and now he's claiming that every sperm is sacred. What else can I say to prove him wrong?

Tell him that "if every sperm is sacred then why does only 0.001% of every teaspoon of sperm actually fertilizes the egg and is turned into a embryo and the other 99.999% is wasted?"

Just smthin to think about.
