...a 1999 subaru forester? First of all, by looking underneath there are just too many components, such a tight space and I dont even know what it looks like! It was suggested that it would be located near or by the fuse box left to the steering column but I have no idea how I am going to access it!
My turn signals and hazard signals both dont work so unless there is an easier way to get at it I am afraid I will have to pay someone else to do it! $100 per hour for labor at these repair shops is absurd!!!

should be as easy as tying your shoe just look beside fuse box where most are at pul it out and push in new one about 2 minute

A Flasher Unit is generally about 2cm in diameter and 4cm long. It's shape is like that of a cylinder and it plugs directly into a plastic fitting located under your dash, near the steering column. To my knowledge, there are no clips or catches that prevent an easy removal.

If you can locate the Flasher Unit, it will take 10 seconds to replace......(this includes dropping the Flasher Unit twice and fumbling around on the floor trying to find it). If you're not confident in trying to D.I.Y. - a reputable Mechanic should only charge for the cost of the part and won't charge for fitting.
