I've written a novel, a science fiction centering around political corruption in a one world totalitarian dystopian future which I guess you can say is a major thriller and mystery suspense. Currently I'm revisising it. I already have written a query letter, and I've sent it out to editors and agents, but so far I've had NO luck. [sigh] According to most of them, the work looks promising, but is a little too long for them. I will admit, I had it originally around 211,000 words, but I so far have cut it to around 190,000, but I still don't think thats enough and am still cutting it down. Aside from that, what do I need to do to really convince them to take a risk with this? Who should I contact? How do I sell my work?
