A while ago, I factory restored my Lenovo Y570. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I recently tried to use Bluetooth, but I can't open it (it ran fine before). It doesn't show up anywhere on my computer. It's not listed in the device manager. I went to the program folder and trying to open it using the bttray icon was unsuccessful. I tried reinstalling it and but I just get a message "no bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in..."
Everything I have read about fixing the problem tells me to go to the Device Manager, but BT doesn't appear there. The only place it shows up is on the 'uninstall program' list. there is no option to change or fix it, and I am wary about uninstalling it. Is there any solution? the only thing I can think of is uninstall it and reinstall it, but if no BT device is detected now and its not in the DM, I don't know that it would make any difference.
Anything I can do?
