How can I get Linksys WUSB54GC to connect to the internet?

I have just purchased a Linsys WUBS54GC adaptor for the DELL my dad just got rid of by replacing it with a new HP. The HP has the modem which is through Time Warner Cable.For our wireless rounter which is attached to the moden is a Linsys. My laptop and my mom's laptop go through the wireless connection with no problems. I am trying to get the DELL PC to become wireless.I can get a Network Conncection with no problems, but every time I click on Firefox or IE nothing will load up. How do I get onto the internet with my adaprtor?
