How can I hook up my blue--ray player to the ethernet?

All I have is a old att modem it only has one ethernet plug in. Our computer is close to our tv so I was interested in buying another ethernet and maybe a splitter to make the modem have two ethernet spots. Will this work? What is the best way to get streaming from netflix, using our wii, our blue ray streaming ready, or our tv? We are clueless thanks in advance.
 
Call AT&T for a newer modem or buy a splitter (like you said) at RadioShack. (Or, TheShack)
 
You need a broadband router to share your internet connection amongst several devices.

The Blu-Ray player is better for Netflix.

You might want to get a newer modem to get better broadband speed, which you will appreciate with Netflix.
You could get a combo modem/router from your provider, and kill two birds with one stone.
