How can I increase or extend the battery life on my motorola cliq?

when i use it fully(playing music and messaging) it only lasts about 6 hours and without using it much it only last about 10 hours...i always have my wifi and gps off and brightness is always at 0%
please give me the tips and tricks to extend my battery life thx
 
Regarding Moto Cliq low battery life

yes, download the advanced task killer (free) from the market app. This app lets you know which other apps are running and lets you freeze them until you want them to start running them again. For example, I use "i music" but after im finished using I'll kill the app until i want to use it again, that way it won't be running when I don't need it. A lot of the times whe you close an app, that doesnt stop it from still running in the background as your phone is sitting idle or you're using the internet etc. Also, did you receive the update? if not, click settings >About phone >system updates and then click download. it should start on its own, it will ask you to restart the phone and it should increase battery life when your phone is sitting idle or during app use. It will also add Battery Manager, which lets you choose from three options on how to save battery life. hope this helped!
