How can i increase voltage in a DC circuit or from a dc motor?

I need to increase voltage in my dc circuit which is powered by a DC motor, how would i go about doing this?
 
If you are using batteries, add more batteries in series.

If you are using a power supply, you can either change - or modify the supply.

If you can't do either of the above, there are electronic circuits which can increase D.C. voltage, such as an inverter and a rectifier. There are I.C. chips which can do this, and even convert polarity between negative ground and positive ground.
