How can I lead my friends and loved ones to christ?

Ok well after reading Bill's trip about what hell was like, I got a little concerned (link here: http://spiritlessons.com/DOCUMENTS/BillWiese_23MinutesInHell_Text.htm ) about my family and friends. Ok well heres the deal. My mom and dad are divorced, and I am currently living with my dad now since age 10. My moms side of the family and my step dads are pretty good christians. But my dads side is almost all Athiest. They don't even acknowledge god except when they swear. My dad used to be a christian Isrealite (I don't know what that exactly is, and pointers you can email me at [email protected]) and he was a pretty good christian. But, now he has turned away from it. My grandpa critisizes religions for how stupid they are. My friends at school are almost all atheists (except 1 I think) and when bill was talking about having Entertainment with nonbelievers was a felony, this really brought to my attention. One of my friends at school critisised a priest who fought for equal rights during the civil war. What can I do to help them lead to Christ? I know for a fact God is real, but how can I show them that? Whenever they criticize god I am always shocked and confused of what to do so I just don't say anything. How can I lead them to christ?!? I don't think I have the strength to, so I'm asking you guys. I want to meet them at the gates of heaven, too, so if you have lead a athiest to christ, tell me how you did it please. Any pointers would be great! Thanks a bunch!

p.s. My mom told me that god talks to here, and she is a pretty good christian. She told me and me only that she knows how my step dad, her, and me are going to die becuase god told her. She said she was going to die of cervical cancer, my stepdad of a heart attack, and I am going to die of a car accident when I'm in my late 40s. And she says she is dead true. Is this true? Cuz I would really like to know when my time to go is so I can better prepare myself for heaven :).

Alot of women die of cervical cancer, so she probably has some knowledge about it from her doctor regarding her situation. Again Alot of men die from heart attack and being married to your father for some time she knows his behaviors and lifestyle well enough she can make a pretty good guess of it. By the time you are in your late 40's you probably wont remember this so its not gonna matter how you die. Again though, it happens alot so its not a wild guess. dont get so freaked out about that.
 
please trust me when i tell you that they will be happier if you leave them be. no one wants to be indoctrinated against their will and by pushing at them you will lose their friendship. if they tried to lead you to their religion would you convert? my guess is no so why would they go to yours? be happy with your relationship with god and leave the rest of us alone to be happy in our own beliefs.
 
Pray for them a lot. God will give you opportunities to speak. And with all due respect to your mother, and I'm sure she's a very nice lady, I think she is in a church that is teaching bad doctrine. She doesn't know how the three of you will die. The "word of knowledge" gift is not for today (see 1 Corinthians 13:8). It was a sign gift for the early church, like tongues. So don't worry about dying in your 40's. Just be prepared to die every day. We don't know what a day will bring forth, so live for Jesus every day. Pray that your mother will have discernment. I'll pray for you and your unsaved family too.
 
Live your life as Christ lived His.
Live with actions, and if necessary, use words. (I read this somewhere else.)
When they see the peace, love, happiness, and joy that you exude that only Christ will give, they will ask questions. Then you can tell them about what Christ has done for you.

Another tactic is to get them read the "Left Behind" series. It's really entertaining, and it's not a forceful way to get them to think about Christ. It's one way of planting a seed.

First of all, it's very difficult to lead your family and loved ones to Christ.The best chance you have is to be an example of Christ to them. People are more impressed with your behavior than your words, especially atheists. If you are loving and helpful, kind and considerate, respectful and try to act like Jesus in everything you do, they are more likely to come to church sometime if you ask them to come with you. Only then can you tell them how Jesus has affected your life.

If you live like the world, and act like the world, they will see absolutely no reason to give their lives to Christ. Most atheists think Christians are hypocrites, and rightly so. Many Christians have failed to be like Jesus, in their zeal to 'convert' people and try to impose a lot of legalism on non-christians. That's not what Jesus told us to do.

Your best chance is to pray for them, and invite them to church with you for special events. If you get involved in the church, perhaps a christmas cantata or play, or have a special event, that's usually a good time to invite them. Sometimes folks are only atheists because they haven't met any REAL Christians.

Secondly, not to put your mom down- but be careful about these 'predictions'. Let me guess- your mom attends a charismatic church, and God 'spoke' to her. I know SO many Christians that God 'spoke' to, and 99 times out of 100 it was all in their heads. When God gives a word of wisdom (which is future events) it's not a good idea to share it, because if you are wrong, you look foolish. Also, there is a thing called 'self-fulfilling prophecies'. If you believe you are going to die in a car crash, you just might. When I was a teen, someone "read my palm" and told me I would die before I was 35. Do you know that hung over me for nearly 20 years? I refused to believe it. And I am still here, proof that not all so called 'prophetic words' are true.
Why would God tell her that? Words like that bring fear. The Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear. More likely, the enemy (Satan) has whispered in her ear to try to stir fear in her heart so there WILL be a self fulfilling prophecy. If she believes she is going to die of cancer, her body may respond by developing cancer. The Bible teaches us that what we believe by faith will happen. Don't believe for bad things! Satan can appear as an angel of light, and he can also speak to us- and deceive us into thinking we heard a word from God.
You may not be able to change her mind, but please don't convince yourself you will die in your 40s. The Bible says that God will satisfy us with LONG life. Claim that promise instead.
 
I will check your video out, and hope that you are able to get your family, and friends closer to Christ. Something good that your doing is your still in touch with your friends and family, because sometimes it will take time for them to realize God is real. Just keep talking and praying for them, let them see God shining through you, and they may ask a questions about God. I use to hang around with Satanic, Anti Christ, and gangs, and realized that God put certain people in my life to guide me, so I would recommend being friends with them, and trying to guide them to the best of your ability.

No one knows how any of us are going to die, we can be called at anytime, anyway. Just my belief.
 
You can't make people believe anything. Let them find their own way - besides, no one knows who is right.
 
By being a good example and obeying the word of God yourself before preaching to others
 
You tell them about Jesus and what He did, then you let God do His part:

John 14
23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."
 
If you fell that you can't bring your loved ones to christ, invite priest to do that. Because I think u don"t have experience and ability to do that. But one think I can share with u is "Find Jesus in our life is a the most important thing". Kept your faith in your heart, trust Him . Don't u know, u're lucky man. Because not all people in the world trust and know Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believes stands condemned already because he has not belived in the name of God's one and only Son.
 
Well maybe they have their own beliefs and really don't want you to press your beliefs onto theirs. God loves all of his children regardless what path they choose. Leave them be. Let nature take her course
 
Leave people alone sweetheart. Many people really really really resent strongly having people try to persuade them to accept God. Without being rude, I have to say that is their business. God can take care of them with no help from you, believe it or not.
