How can I make the On-board Sata Controller show up in bios again?

New member
Asus P4PE board. I updated the bios to the latest version, and still can't get the controller to show up again. I hooked up my sata hard drive to another computer and it picks it up, so I know its not the hard drive itself.

Set the sata to boot first, and I moved sata to the top of the boot list. Still nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Also, the hard drive is partitioned and formatted already.
