how can i make the picture look better(the best) on my 32' samsung lcd?

The picture seems somewhat mediocre to me..it seems kinda dark and dull but its ok i just want it to be the best! what settings can i use to make the picture look better? and like when i try to change the picture size it always looks wierd i cant get a normal 16:9 or whatever..help guys. by the way its a 720p

Try calibrating your lcd. You can rent dvd/blurays from Blockbuster or Nexflex that would allow you to do it your self. It would save you $$ on electric bill, prolong life of tv and plus you would get great images from TV.
