how can i repair a AD-7530b Optiarc dvd rw ? it simply stop reading discs

and a new one is a bit expensive? My DVD reader just stop working, i have dismounted my hole W7645 and mounted again...works even better after i cleaned up every part but i just couldn't fix its DVD rw, i believe the flat cable from the unit got broken and I don't know how to fix cd/dvd drives because i have never study that area on maintenance,so thanks since now for the attention.
