How can i save video clips from the internet to my computer?

i need to do a power point presentation and need video clips. first i need to find how i can save vid clips then i can put it on my power pt.. does anyone know how i can do this?
 
if its from youtube or metacafe use http://www.keepvid.com

i think it works for some other websites too but i've only used it for them 2
