How can i shrink movie files on my computer to fit them on a dvd disc?

I have 4 tv series on my computer there sizes are

1. 550 MB AVI
2. 797 MB MP4
3. 546 MB AVI
4. 546 MB AVI

I can get Number 1 to burn to disc BUT the rest wont burn to disc, it says there is not enough room on disc (doing it one file at a time) what do i need to get/do to make them fit onto a disc and is there any way i can get them all to fit on one disc.. Thanks

burn them as data and theyll all fit.. if your dvd player can read divx, or whatever the device your using to play the disc can read divx files.. then you can watch all those episodes on a single disc..
